EPL 순위 결정의 방법

EPL에서 순위는 [ 승점 - 골득실 - 승자승 - 다득점 ] 순이며 다득점까지 같다면 동순위로 한다.

단, 순서를 정할 필요가 있을 경우 (챔피언의 결정, 국제대회진출, 승강팀의 결정 등) 중립지역에서 한 경기 이상의 플레이오프 매치를 치르며 매치에 관한 모든 사항은 위원회가 결정한다

각 리그와 대회별로 규정은 상이하며, 참고로 월드컵의 순위 결정은 다음과 같이 한다.

※ 월드컵의 순위 결정

a) greatest number of points obtained in all group matches ; 승점 

b) goal difference in all group matches ; 골득실 

c) greatest number of goals scored in all group matches. 다득점 

If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above three criteria, their rankings will be determined as follows : a) b) c) 순위 동률시 다음 순서에 따른다.  

d) greatest number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned ; 

    관련팀(조별그룹)끼리 승점 

e) goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned ; 

    관련팀(조별그룹)끼리 골득실 

f) greater number of goals scored in all group matches between the teams concerned ; 

    관련팀(조별그룹)끼리 다득점 

g) drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee. 동전던지기
